JV1 Ties Nashua North 1-1

One the eve of the start of school, the JV boys took to the road to square off with the Titans of Nashua North. For much of the first half, both teams vied for possession in the middle third of field trading off a few chances. Hanover would have a couple good looks dropping the ball off to players making filling runs near the 18, but missed the frame early not testing the keeper. Hanover used its stalwart defenses to deny the Titans and only conceded just two shots on frame. As the game moved into the second half, the game developed into more physical play that is more typically like the level varsity teams play at. Though Hanover’s front offensive line seemed frustrated it also fueled them to play harder. After a couple instances that seemed worthy of call, Ronan Przydzielski earned a penalty kick with a tackle from behind in the 18 and proceeded to convert it with ease. However the scoring wasn’t done for the day. The Titans continued to press Hanover's center backs and after a turnover near midfield and a missed tackle after some recovering, the Titans forward was able to knot the game up. Hanover would see a couple more chances in the dwindling minutes but unable to convert the game ended in a 1-1 draw. The JV are hungry to square off with the Bedford Bulldogs this coming Friday at 6:00.
